Our Team

We're not your average brokers. And that's a good thing.

Kevin Grace

Vice President of Sales

Early Years

Kevin grew up in Crofton Maryland, and it's safe to say his parents wanted him to experience a devout Catholic education. Kevin attended St. Pius X grade school, Dematha High School and graduated from St. Mary's High School (whether he ever experienced "the ruler" we have no idea). Kevin lettered in football, lacrosse and wresting, then went on to Salisbury University, where he made one of his toughest decisions ever - to put sports on hold to concentrate on earning a business degree.

What we know about Kevin:

He's practically the EBS mascot.

Kevin, a seasoned employee benefits consultant and top producer, has been recognized for his ability to develop new business in a consultative sales process. He also delivers high-quality, cost-effective creative solutions and services that result in many of EBS's many long lasting client relationships. How does Kevin manage all of this? Well, we humbly admit Kevin's extensive employee benefits knowledge includes (but is not limited to) plan designs, cost containment strategies, alternate funding, market trends, ACA compliance, technology decision support analytics, and technology based employee communications, so he juggles with ease and professionalism. He hopes to leverage his extensive charisma in his bid to become the next Oriole Bird mascot.

Fun Facts

I was the high school prom king. True.

I once held the record for the 6 and under backstroke. Crofton Swim and Tennis Club has never been the same.

I love any outdoor activity. Trail running and mountain biking are my favorites, but toss the coin and I'm in.

All of the mushy stuff is reserved for my family. To me, spending as much time with my young family as possible is the definition of quality time.

Erin Keeler

Client Advisor

Early years

Erin grew up in the small coastal town of Mashpee, Massachusetts on the island of Cape Cod. Growing up as middle child between two brothers helped shape the determined personality she holds today. Growing up with a love of winter sports Erin decided to head north to a small state college in the mountains of Vermont.

What we know about Erin

Upon graduation, Erin jumped right into the insurance industry as a group rep for the top disability carrier known as UNUM. After 10+ years as a wholesale group rep, Erin decided to take a leap and start her own business. After many years of managing her own employee benefits firm Erin decided to join the EBS team in 2013 to take advantage of all the services, tools and resources that are now required to stay a front runner in this ever changing industry. With now close to 20 years experience, Erin's clients say her attention to detail, industry experience along with a strong ability to deliver solid solutions are most important to them when managing their benefits program. Erin truly enjoys helping her clients with all aspects of their benefits. As part of the EBS team she is very excited over the opportunity of growing our presence in Eastern NC.

Dawn Shilling

Client Care Specialist

Early Years

Dawn grew up in Baltimore and graduated from Loch Raven High School, where she was a regular at the school's football games. Not only because she liked boys (we can relate!) she has actually "been in love with football since age five." (We're dying to hear the full story behind that!)

What we know about Dawn

She's in it for the game.

Fast-forward a few years and you'd find Dawn supplementing her football passion with a new love - three baby boys. Makes you just want to pick up a lacrosse stick, strap on the shoulder pads, and run with it, doesn't it?

Well, that's what she did. And after cradling those boys as a stay at home mom (title: "Family Management Specialist"), she watched them cradle lax sticks straight through college. She even worked at Lax World Headquarters for six years, gaining plenty of customer/client care experience. Then a full-time career came knocking. Dawn became a health insurance service rep and gained a Health and Life license before coming to EBS.

Fun Facts

I am the perfect Ying and Yang: During my years at home with the boys, I added a love for cooking to my passions and even had a small catering company.

My kids really dug that! The boys would say my specialties are Italian or Mexican cuisine and homemade soups.

Thank goodness for little girls: My only girl is a 10 year-old rescue pup (Lab mix)

Did I mention I am a big fan? A favorite "hobby" is watching my boys play sports (especially lacrosse) and I love going to Ravens games with family and friends.

Johanna Xecominos

Client Care Specialist

Early Years.

Johanna grew up in Perry Hall, went to Perry Hall High, and spent most of her childhood playing sports, being a Tomboy and annoying her two older sisters. Fortunate enough to have parents that loved to travel, she went to a lot of cool places -- like Vegas at 10-years-old and a summer with family in Greece after graduating from Community College of Baltimore, Catonsville. She played soccer in high school and college, and yes -- she has a Big, Fat Greek family. And yes, it's just like the movie.

What we know about Johanna.

Johanna returned from that Greek summer and landed her first real job at Johns Hopkins. She was there for almost 10 years before making the switch into the Insurance Broker world. She comes to us from Silberstein Insurance Group, where she was an Account Coordinator. But her real love? "Being an aunt and watching my nieces and nephews grow. They can now spell and use my sister's phones to call me, text me, and send selfies!"

Fun Facts

Repeat after me. I performed sign language with the first deaf Miss America, Heather Whitestone in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Little Prince. My 8-lb. Yorkie, Spencer, goes to daycare and has his own car seat, doggie basket on my bike, clothes, and enjoys expensive meals. Yep. Spoiled.

She believes in goals. I still play indoor and outdoor soccer and I am on a kickball team in Canton.

Double take. People who I just meet ask me how they know me. Strangers often say hi. I think I have a long lost twin.
