Sarah Ehrlich

Senior Data Analytics Specialist

Early Years: A Mid-Atlantic Girl

Born in Arlington, Sarah's family moved to Laurel before settling in Shrewsbury, PA when she was 10. Except for a brief stint in Cockeysville from 2009-2012, "I've lived in PA ever since. I had not even flown on a plane until my honeymoon to Orlando!" Since then, she's traveled to Florida, Maine, Nevada and Mexico. Although a clarinet, soccer, gymnastics and color guard member in high school, she happily prefers books and numbers. "My youth was spent studying." No wonder she graduated with a 4.2 GPA (4 out of 250 in her class!). Sarah earned her BS in Economics from Penn State.

What we know about Sarah: Being smart has its benefits

After ten years helping her clients get the most out of their benefits - two with Crawford Advisors and eight years with The Warner Companies - EBS swooped Sarah up. "I have a passion for manipulating numbers and data to create solutions for our clients," she admits. She's also addicted to Red Bull (a great start to any morning)! But the great love of her life is daughter, Zoe (7 months at the time of this writing). There is simply not enough storage in her cell phone to store the photos!

Sarah earned her Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation and is presently studying for her Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) certificate.

Deirdre Weadock

Client Manager

Early Years: Under the Sea

Deirdre was born and raised in the Baltimore suburbs. As a bit of a science nerd, she loved attending marine biology summer camps, and she volunteered at the National Aquarium in Baltimore throughout high school. She later got her scuba diving certification with her dad when she was 12 years old. After college, Deirdre worked as a dolphin trainer for 10 years at the National Aquarium and in the Florida Keys.

What we know about Deirdre: Running through Dream Jobs

Though she hadn't been an athlete growing up, Deirdre started running after college to get in better shape. A few marathons later, Deirdre became a running coach - which brought her to her second career: managing operations for Charm City Run, a local running and race management company. In 2015, Deirdre became a mom, and her son led her to search for a job with more consistent hours, and now we're glad to have her with us at EBS!

Fun Facts

Caring for Animals: I went abroad multiple times in college to study animals: monkeys for a semester in a Brazilian rain forest, whale sharks for a summer on a boat in Baja and a species of schooling fish for a month in Papua New Guinea.

World Traveler: I've traveled five of the seven continents - so far.

Time to hit the trails! My son and I both love being outdoors, and you can usually find us hiking nearby trails on the weekends.

Lucia Fan

Benefit Consultant

Early Years: Crabsolutely clawsome.

Lucia was born in Hong Kong as the youngest of six. With four sisters and a brother, they were a close-knit family. So much so, Lucia's older sister and her future husband took the three younger sisters on some of their dates, embarking on many fun adventures together. Lucia's family also loves to vacation and eat crabs. When they get started eating crabs, the meal could literally take half a day!

What we know about Lucia:

A cultural connoisseur.

While attending school at University of Maryland College Park, Lucia studied speech communication and business. Since graduating, she's furthered her career while traveling the globe to places like Sweden, Italy and Suriname, and she's hoping to visit Taiwan and Australia. Lucia enjoys discovering other cultures, trying new restaurants, and cooking different cuisines at home. She says our fun vibe and culture brought her to EBS, and we're glad it did.

Taylor Wood

Marketing Coordinator

Early Years: One big, travel-happy family

Both of Taylor's parents attended Fredonia State, and they met when her dad decided to "love tap" her mom with his car. They went on to have four girls - even though Taylor's dad is the youngest of four boys, Taylor is the oldest, and one of her younger, twin sisters has Down Syndrome. Living in Rochester, New York, their family likes to spend their summers on Canandaigua Lake, and Taylor frequently traveled for weekend lacrosse tournaments. Many tournaments brought her to Maryland, and we're lucky they did! She now lives in Baltimore City with her quarantine puppy, Whiskey.

What we know about Taylor: Just one more scoop

Taylor worked for five years at an ice cream parlor, making her practically a professional ice cream scooper. She then channeled her entrepreneurial spirit into a Bachelor of Science in marketing from Towson University, and she took a marketing class on "Marketing in the Shadows of Bordeaux Vineyards" while studying abroad. As our marketing coordinator at EBS, we appreciate Taylor's well-traveled, marketing background, but most of all we love her ice cream scooping experience!

Fun Facts

Quarantined before it was cool: I was quarantined way before 2020. When I was two years old, I was quarantined for 10 days with an unknown rash. It was later diagnosed as Kawasaki disease.

Let's see those pearly whites! I won best smile in junior and senior high school.

Christmas in November: My due date was supposed to be Christmas Day. I celebrate Christmas for as long as possible every year and start blaring Christmas music on the first day of November!
