We're not your average brokers. And that's a good thing.

Sarah Ehrlich

Senior Data Analytics Specialist

Early Years: A Mid-Atlantic Girl

Born in Arlington, Sarah's family moved to Laurel before settling in Shrewsbury, PA when she was 10. Except for a brief stint in Cockeysville from 2009-2012, "I've lived in PA ever since. I had not even flown on a plane until my honeymoon to Orlando!" Since then, she's traveled to Florida, Maine, Nevada and Mexico. Although a clarinet, soccer, gymnastics and color guard member in high school, she happily prefers books and numbers. "My youth was spent studying." No wonder she graduated with a 4.2 GPA (4 out of 250 in her class!). Sarah earned her BS in Economics from Penn State.

What we know about Sarah: Being smart has its benefits

After ten years helping her clients get the most out of their benefits - two with Crawford Advisors and eight years with The Warner Companies - EBS swooped Sarah up. "I have a passion for manipulating numbers and data to create solutions for our clients," she admits. She's also addicted to Red Bull (a great start to any morning)! But the great love of her life is daughter, Zoe (7 months at the time of this writing). There is simply not enough storage in her cell phone to store the photos!

Sarah earned her Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation and is presently studying for her Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) certificate.

Pizza Queen. My husband and I ate so much pizza in 2011 that Papa John's sent us a free copy of Madden NFL 12 for the PS3.

Her Life is Magical. I'm a huge Harry Potter fan. My house is Slytherin and my Patronus is a King COBRA.

Film Geek.  Huge cinephiles, my husband and I recite quotes from our favorite movies to each other.

No Achy Breaky . . . Anything!  I've never broken a bone and I still have all four of my wisdom teeth.

Samantha Flanagan

Client Manager

Early Years: Family First

As the oldest of three siblings and Godmother to one of her nephews, family is very important to Samantha. After graduating from Mercy High School in Baltimore, Maryland, she chose to stay near her family in the city. Rather than going away for college, she attended Stevenson University for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees.

What we know about Samantha: Mamma Mia!

Samantha's family is mostly Italian (even though she looks Irish). Her family celebrates many Italian traditions, and on Thanksgiving they cook turkey AND homemade ravioli and meatballs! But despite all the delicious, home-cooked food, Samantha could easily live off Goldfish and cereal for the rest of her life. It's all we ever see her eat...

Fun Facts

Aye aye, Captain! During high school, I was captain of the varsity soccer team.

Turn up the volume: Rather than watching movies or TV, I prefer to throw on headphones and listen to some good music.

Enjoying the Great Outdoors: Since I love being outside, a friend and I traveled to Aspen, Colorado and hiked the Conundrum Springs. Unfortunately, we didn't realize it was an expert level hike, and it took us two days to complete!

Amanda Hastings

Client Manager

The Early Years: Never-Ending Summer

Amanda grew up in Syracuse, New York with her little brother, Logan. They're closer than most siblings after spending their entire childhood together, and Amanda considers Logan one of her best friends. Summer is Amanda's favorite season, and the pair would fill their days with sports or swim together at the community pool. But like most older siblings, Amanda soon left for college, ready to pursue her next adventure.

What we know about Amanda: Putting Down Roots

After graduating from Ithaca College with a degree in Television-Radio and Digital Marketing, Amanda felt the job market in Upstate New York looked slim. She applied to jobs up and down the East Coast before landing a position in Baltimore. Even though she only had one friend in the area, she packed up, moved, and never looked back. Since then, she's built a network of friends, started a family with her husband, Brandon, and their daughter, Palmer, and joined our team at EBS!

LAX to the MAX: I played lacrosse for two years in college.

Tap it out. I took dance lessons from age two until graduating high school, and tap is - by far - my favorite form of dance!

No Standing. Only Dancing. My family and I love music, and we have dance parties in the living room on the reg.

Amy Gorman

Client Care Specialist

Early Years: Ready to Get Her Hands Dirty

Growing up in Ellicott City, Maryland, Amy was an only child - except for a spastic Weimaraner. The pup was as close as a sibling, since Amy took the blame whenever she broke things or chewed-up comforters. Through her parent's employment, Amy had the opportunity to travel and loved experiencing different parts of Europe with her parents. She even channeled her interest in art and was awarded a certificate of appreciation for painting an exhibit at the National Cryptologic Museum in Maryland. Amy later studied photography and psychology at Howard Community College but felt she learned better outside the classroom.

What we know about Amy: Fun in the Sun

Amy loves to travel anywhere warm: Aruba, the Florida Keys, the Virgin Islands, but no cruises. She prefers all-inclusive resorts where she can double-fist daiquiris, rather than being stranded on a random rock or contracting the plague aboard a ship.

Fun Facts

Training with the best: I got my black belt in martial arts when I was 12, and I started teaching adult classes.

Who's the Boss? Tony Danza almost knocked me over in St. Peter's Square in the Vatican. He's quite short, by the way.

Crunchy candy only! I am terrified of all things "gummy." Gummy worms, gummy bears, Jell-O, everything. They legitimately freak me out.
